SOCOBA has raised thousands of dollars through Facebook Birthday Fundraisers, and we have tremendous gratitude for our supporters who have started fundraisers for their birthday on behalf of SOCOBA or may have donated to one. It's simple, yet very impactful.

Here are the steps to put into place this super easy and effective tool that Facebook offers for free:

1) Sign in to your Facebook account.

2) Go to your 'home' page, and look on the left side column. Locate the 'fundraiser' option under "Create" at the bottom. Click on "fundraiser" and Facebook will walk you through the remaining steps.

 3) Select SOCOBA as the beneficiary of your fundraiser.

4) Set your fundraising goal and time-frame. Many successful fundraisers have been set at $200 and even more! Set something your comfortable with and see how it takes off! You can raise the amount anytime.

5) Invite people on your friends' list and engage with them! This is key! Share often as you may not be familiar with peoples habits on Facebook, and the more you share the more likely they will see post.  

6) Thank people as they donate and watch numbers go up!  They are donating because of you and your supporting beliefs, and because they and appreciate you.
